Why Play DASH Here?

Built-in DASH Engine

Powered by dash.js, so .mpd streams play in the browser — which no browser does natively.

HLS and MP4 Too

One player for everything: paste a DASH (.mpd), HLS (.m3u8), or plain MP4 link and press play.

Nothing Uploaded

The stream loads directly from its source to your browser. We never proxy or store your video.

Works Everywhere

Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS, mobile — it's just a web page. Nothing to install.

DASH Player FAQ

What is MPEG-DASH (.mpd)?

DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) is an adaptive streaming format, like HLS. Its manifest is an .mpd file. No browser plays DASH natively, so OnlinePlayer uses the dash.js engine.

Can I also play HLS (.m3u8) and MP4 here?

Yes. The same player handles DASH (.mpd) via dash.js, HLS (.m3u8) via hls.js, and plain MP4/WebM natively.

My DASH stream won't load — why?

The most common cause is CORS: the server hosting the .mpd and its segments must allow cross-origin requests. Check the source's CORS headers.

Is my stream uploaded anywhere?

No. The stream is fetched directly from its source to your browser. OnlinePlayer never proxies, stores, or sees your video.
